Chris moved to a studio at the Custard Factory in 2024 after 10 years in her Harborne studio. The move brought to light ideas that had been lurking for a number of years. One being a box of TEM negatives that were inspirational for many scientists at the University of Birmingham where she worked. Diffraction is a phenomenon that involves the scattering of x-rays from the atoms of a sample under investigation. In the current climate of AI, Chris has used these negatives in response to the effect of AI on art. The Kings New Clothes maybe?
